Sweet Summer Fun

Hello folks. Summer is almost over! Sure, you can hit the beach to get that sunburn tan or call your friends to re-watch that summer blockbuster, but for me, there's nothing sweeter than a splash of sugar-rush. If you don't have the time or ability to cook up something sweet, there's a sweet confectionery place ready to help you out.

Thanks to Sweets From Heaven, one can now get its fill of the candy-mania sweeping the rest of the country. One sweet shop may not replace the dozens of places cropping up around New York and Los Angeles but it's going to do its best to keep up. Because while most other sweet shops are local, Sweets From Heaven boasts over 65 stores around the U.S., owning Fuzziwig's Candy Factory chains, becoming the largest bulk-candy retailer in America.

The shop stocks over 500 different candy varieties at a time and has thousands more rotating through their warehouse which can be preordered in advance.

Standouts? Where do I begin? Sure, you have the classic candy bars, gummies, and chocolate, but then you get into the mouth-watering options like the...

old time favorites: Mary janes, squirrel nuts, candy cigarettes, necco wafers, bit-o-honey, clark bars, zagnuts, big hunks, sugar daddies, bbats, abba zabbas, oh henry bars, peanut chews, mallow cups, chuckles, sky bars, look bars, zotz, slap stixs, chickosticks, bosco bars, big league chews, wax lips, Charleston chews, sixlets, razzles, black cows, satellite wafers, and candy buttons. (yes, back to old times)

If you need candy to fill your party favors or dishes, they supply M&Ms and jelly beans in the color of your choice and have chocolate boxes like Godiva for those "last-minute" gifts.

Kids will be in awe with their swirly lollipop tower, disney princess candy rings, Pixar candy toys, the latest marvel movie pezes, pillows shaped like nerds boxes and hershey bars, gold coins for their next pirate adventure, and gummies shaped from alphabets to cute black penguins.

For those die-hard Harry Potter fans, they can get a taste of european culture - from mars bars (Harry Potter's favorite), cadbury flakes (thin sheets of chocolate layered upon each other to create a crumbly but rich chocolate sensation), kinder bars (hazelnut and chocolate can perform miracles), to bertie bots every flavor beans (contain nasty flavors such as vomit, dirt, bugs, toothpaste, and boogers)

Give your friends unforgettable gifts: cigarette-looking candies (pretend smoke & watch your friends bug out), giant gummy bears (can you finish it one bite?), scorpion suckers (real scorpion inside & edible), world's largest gummy snake, giant pez dispensers (pez collector's ultimate gift), and Jelly Belly beans (your office co-workers will thank you)

For people with diabetes, they also have sugar free chocolates, gummies, licorices, hard candies, and lollipops.

If you're like me and crave chocolate, they have a section dedicated to chocolate which includes...dark chocolate covered marshmallow cream, cashews and pecans covered in caramel and chocolate, coconut flakes covered in milk and white chocolate, large salty pretzels covered in milk, white, and dark chocolate, kopper's chocolate covered gummy bears, milk and white chocolate almond barks, vanilla caramel covered in milk chocolate with bittersweet drizzle, solid milk, white, and dark chocolate blocks, nonpareils in white, milk, and dark chocolate, dark chocolate raspberry jell, chocolate covered pecans, cashews, almonds, peanuts, raisins, toffee bits, oreos, caramel balls, espresso beans...(yum.)

Most of their loose candies start at $2.25 1/4pound to $8.99 a pound while most of their packaged sweets are marked. Since they have a shop in multiple states, you can find & contact the one nearest you on their main website http://www.sweetsfromheaven.com/locator.php.
